	UniCare has been providing superior service to customers for over 30 years. The company known today as UniCare was established on October 9, 1968 as Skyline Drugs, Inc. Originally, Skyline operated retail drug stores in Montgomery and Prattville, Alabama. As the business evolved, retail store operations were phased out and increasing emphasis was placed on providing a full range of services to a specific market segment - long term health care. This specialization resulted in the emergence of several divisions operating under the UniCare umbrella. In 1994, UniCare joined the Omnicare, Inc. system of long term care pharmacies.

Serving approximately 1 million residents in 8,800 long term institutions in 47 states, Omnicare is the nation's largest provider of professional pharmacy, related consulting, and data management services for skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional healthcare providers. Additionally, Omnicare's CRO provides comprehensive clinical research services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and medical device industries in 29 countries worldwide.
